The chorus of this piece started as a medicine song that came to me and I sang it to myself regularly over a few months. Cúrame means ‘heal me’ in Spanish. Eventually, it evolved into a fully fleshed-out song, but I still find myself humming the chorus to myself when I feel like I need a little boost. I consider it a song we can sing to ourselves to allow our own voices and intentions to be our medicine.
